June 22, 2010 by admin
The Weber Spirit E-310 LP gas grill is a grill that promises to cater to the needs of any barbecue fanatic. The grill has a massive cooking area of 536 square inches, comprising of a main grilling surface of 424 square inches capable of cooking anything from steaks and hamburgers to pineapple slices or vegetarian kabobs, and a 112 square inch warming rack, which is the perfect thing to heat buns and keep food warm.
The Weber Spirit E-310 promises to achieve grilling perfection with its three stainless steel burners capable of generating heat amounting to 36,000 BTU. Ignition is simple and effortless with a simple push button; the grill is capable of heating evenly to 600 degrees Fahrenheit in no time at all. The Flavorizer bars guarantee appetizing cooking, which, together with the stainless steel cooking grates, have been enameled with porcelain for easier cleaning and reduced flare-ups.
When the lid is open, the grill measures 25.5 x 53 x 62 inches (depth x width x height), and the cart is enclosed with painted stainless steel doors to keep the liquid propane tank from view. The grill also features a centrally located thermometer on the exterior of the cook box for accurate temperature reading, circumventing the need to open the lid, ensuring heat stays where it should. A stainless steel work surface and six tool hooks provide ample cooking assistance.
Portability Combined With Precision Cooking
An early review of the grill found its affordable price and ease with which it could be moved around on in its enclosed cart fantastic. Having all its components contained inside a cart provided good protection against inclement weather.
Cooking on the Weber Spirit E-310 was a dream as it heated to 600 degrees Fahrenheit within 5 minutes. As promised by the manufacturer, the cooking surface heated quickly and evenly, and to an extremely high heat, but the workstation located on the right was well insulated against the heat, and stayed pleasantly cool. Cooks were especially impressed by the precision with which the flames could be adjusted, providing even cooking and reducing the incidence of flare-ups. Likewise, the Flavorizer bars lived up to their promise, infusing food with an authentic barbecue flavor instead of merely charring it.
Quiet and Easy To Clean
One notable aspect of the Weber grill is how quiet is it. Cooks were exceedingly surprised and impressed with the quietness of its operation, which was virtually silent in contrast with other grills of the similar BTU rating and size. The porcelain-enameled cooking grates are also a welcome feature as they are easy to clean.
Assembly and Flame Controls Can Be a Pain
More than one review complained about the assembly of the grill. One issue was that assembly was a lengthy process. The other was that the assembly manual only comprised illustrations without any text whatsoever, which made assembly even more confusing and intimidating.
While cooking is a joy on the Weber, some cooks felt it was a bad idea to have the flame control knobs on the right side of the grill, where they take up much-needed workspace, suggesting that the controls should be situated on the front of the grill instead.
No similar gas grills.
